I come here all the time for the kimchi chigae. It is bomb. It's exactly how my Korean grandma makes it. Super authentic. Also, the staff is really nice and you can ask to adjust to your preferred spice level. I love that there is authentic Korean food in the city without having to drive out to Elkins Park.

Had a great experience here. We were on south street and decided to to drop in on a Thursday night. We had the entire resturant to our selves. The food was amazing. The older gentleman who served as our waiter, told us about the different Korean foods, and showed my daughter how to properly use chopsticks.

I got the fire cheese chicken here for lunch, and the service was excellent and the food was delicious. The cheese chicken was saucy and went well with the rice; it wasn't spicy but was still very flavorful. The side dishes were very tasty as well.

Very kind and friendly owner. Food was great, especially loved the Bulgogi Bibimbap. They gave everyone a complimentary slice of watermelon after the dinner as a sweet treat - such a sweet (no pun intended) gesture.

Vibes: casual, unassuming authentic Korean; bring a friend or a few Tasting notes: - Seafood soft tofu: rich seafood flavor; chock full of shrimp, squid, mussels, clams; comes with perfectly cooked, al dente, fluffy white rice - Banchan: favorites were the fish cake and sliced potatoes; kimchi cabbage and radish were on the lighter side, which I appreciated - Beef bibimbap: comes steaming hot; generous serving with excellent mix of vegetables; side of gochujang to dose as you like Other thoughts: - Meal starts with banchan landing pretty much immediately once order is placed, and ends with slices of watermelon, a hallmark of Asian restaurant hospitality - Service felt slightly slow during a busy dinner hour, but it is clear they are trying their best - Waited about a half hour on a weekend night without a reservation Impression: would come back when I am craving authentic Korean!

What a cute spot! Don't be discouraged by a simplistic design and short menu. It is so good and authentic! Honestly, my favorite kind of place. Simple, no hype, tasty, and authentic! I had chicken bibimbap and my husband had Korean spicy boneless chicken. Both are amazing! Very good portions. They also offer a small appetizer beforehand (courtesy of the restaurant) and a slice of watermelon afterwards. The watermelon was so tasty, it was one of those "what the h#ll" moments.

Sweetest owner, so tentative to his customers and the rest of the staff is amazing. The food is SO good - I had soft tofu and pork jigae and it was just what I needed after several flight delays and cancellations to not lose it. the place is really clean

The best Korean food I've had in Philly. It's authentic and tastes home cooked, not like typical Korean-American places.

One of the best Korean spots in Philly!! We ordered the beef dolsot, two different kimchi jjigae , cheese tteokbokki, beef mandu, and seafood pancakes We loved everything except for the seafood pancake, which wasn't crisp enough. Everything else was perfection! Highly recommend and will be back!!
